Ten years ago in the town of Custom, four young girls were appointed as disciples to an old mage named Ragisis. They were to be raised as mages and work as the town's guardians after their training was completed. However, after the ten years, the girls suddenly rebelled against Ragisis and killed him. During the intense magic battle, the entire town was buried underground and a barrier spell was placed on it, preventing anyone from leaving, including the mages who terrorized the town. The four mages were soon known as Four Witches of Custom. Having accepted a quest at the guild to help Custom, Rance sets out with Sill to defeat the four mages and save the town from their grasp. Now that Rance is on the job, Custom is saved! ...Or is it? Note: Alice 2010 contains two different versions of Rance II: Rance 02 and Rance 02 Kai.
