The very large northern city of Shiraori, shrouded in fog in the summer and blanketed in snow in the winter, has been plagued by a series of brutal psychological crimes. The police set up a unit specifically to combat abnormal psychological crimes, but it was still not enough. Recently, they’ve been turning to promising youths who work undercover as student investigators. The insect gastronomy club at Shiraori Gakuen, nicknamed ‘Mushikui’, was specifically created for this purpose. Yui could read a person’s thoughts just by observing their gestures and behaviour. Keisuke possesses a special ability ‘butterfly seeker’ which allows him to see the indirect causes of a death just by touching the body. Due to their special abilities, they were able to achieve some positive results.
