Sakazaki Seijirouu has been living alone since his wife passed away a year ago. However, his son and daughter-in-law offer to live with him. One day, his son, Haruhito, is assigned to work overseas, and Seijirou starts living with his daughter-in-law, Asuna. Although the two were subtly conscious of each other, they try their best to keep up appearances and act like a happy family. One night, Seijirou wakes up and goes to the kitchen to quench his thirst. He hears a noise coming from the living room and sees that Asuna is comforting herself on the sofa. Seijirou struggles between wanting to watch and knowing he shouldn't. He spends the night restless and eventually falls asleep. The next day, the same situation occurs, and he hears Asuna whisper his name. Disturbed, Seijirou tells himself he shouldn't be there and leaves the scene.
