The title is a reference to "The Ugly Duckling" (みにくいアヒルの子) Described as "Physical and Mental Violation ADV", you assume the role of Tanezaki Suteru who is constantly being bullied due to his ugliness which is beyond words. As a result of this, he is an introvert and as much as looking into people's faces is a horrifying task to him. However, he has the special power "Mojika" which allows him to automatically read the true intentions of someone's heart if he manages to see their face within a range of 120 cm. This information manifests itself through special text called "Moji" which show him time and time again how cruel and full of lies the world can be. Unable to bear the insults hurled at him as soon as he lifts his face, he sealed off his ability and has always had his eyes downcast.
